http://www.cyberessays.com/History/80.htm

i found this site/essay really enteresting. Its about the research of how the holocaust effected people, and the feeling people have after the fact. He has some facts about it, and some studies done by psychologist. It makes you really think about how there are people in the world still dealing w/ it, people who it still effects, and how past can effect the present.

Holocaust movie

The movie we watched in class was really sad. It really made me think for the first time about all the people and the stuff they had to go through. I realized that my grandparents were teenagers during this time and they had to deal w/ all other the issues the Holocaust created for our country. I know alot of think that this stuff was in the past and couldn't happen to us, but the fact that it DID happen and it wasn't even that long ago, lets us know that it could in fact happen again (or something of the sort). I have been to the museum of tolerance several years ago and it didn't have that much of an impact on me, mostly because i was young and when your younger it's not as real as it is when you get older. It makes me realize that my life could be so much worst; as much as I sometimes think I have it so bad, I know it could be so much worst for me, and i think all the people who went through it are really strong people and heroes to us and should always be remembered for what they did and went through.

What makes a good writer?

I think a good writer is someone who can get their point across without going on and on. You want to get to the point so you don't bore the reader, because I know when i read writer's work, if it is too wordy, i get lost and have no interest in it anymore. A good writer also has a good strong vocabulary and doesn't use the same words over and over again.

I think these are things I need to work on in my writing. I need to learn bigger vocabulary and different ways to get my point across more effectively

intro

Legalizing marijuana is looked at by society mostly as just contributing to the incline of societal problems, but people usually don't tend to think about the positive effects it can have, to save us economicly as a country. The legalization of marijuana has never been such a topic of controversy. Many people of it's legalization don't see why it's not. No one has ever died from smoking marijuana, yet there are estimated 440,000 deaths per year associated with alcohol abuse, a legal substance. So why is it looked at as being so bad?

english 015 now

So now its time to use the blogspot again for another class. Im excited!

Well my name is Ashley Beach. This is my second semester at Crafton. I went here fall last semester as well as Chaffey last winter, but i think im at crafton to STAY! Chaffey is way to much traffic and gas. Plus I live like 2 minutes from crafton, so i think i'm here for good.

I went to 3 different high school; 2 in rialto, then graduated from Yucaipa High. I played water polo at Carter high scool for a bit. I also used to be a artistic roller skater, which i recently gave up to focus on school and stuff. I am a HUGE angels baseball fan, and red wings hockey.

I am very friendly and very outgoing; I just love to be busy!

I am very easy to approuch so don't hesitate to ask me anything!!!
